rinielle: The Magic Begins: 1/30 - Favourite CharacterNymphadora Tonks I agonised over this for a while… there are so many incredible characters in these books, and they all taught me something important as I grew up, so picking just one favourite is near impossible. For me though, Nymphadora Tonks is someone who, despite not playing so huge a role in the books or Harry’s life in the way that say Hagrid, Dumbledore, Hermione, Ron, Sirius, Lupin, Ginny, etcetc did, embodies so much of what is important in them. Friendship, loyalty, love, a certain disregard for the rules =P. A lot of the themes of the books, or at least the ones that I saw, are found in her character.More than that too, she is such a well rounded character, with so many different elements. She is a fighter, a mother, a friend, and a wife. She is funny, strong, cheeky, fierce, confident, quirky and kind. A perfect example of JK Rowling’s ability to put so much into all her characters, even those who are not at the forefront of her writing all the time. I feel like I know Tonks just as well as I know all the main characters, and I love everything about her. Not to mention of course, she’s a badass Hufflepuff, which is always a win.
